Coronavirus: 28 schools closed in France one week after the start of the school year

The Minister of Education stated that a week after the start of the school year, 28 schools and 262 classrooms in France had been closed due to the Covid-19 case.

Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer said Monday on BFM-TV that 28 schools and 262 classrooms in France have been closed due to the Covid-19 case. On weekends, there are just over 60,000 closed workplaces in France and 22 of the one hundred classrooms.
"Maybe higher in the next few days"

"This is something we expect", "this is a necessary consequence of the vigilance that we have," he said, adding that the figure will "seem higher in the days ahead."

Jean-Michel Blanquer also welcomed the return of children to school, a phenomenon described as "mass".

When asked how many students were missing this new school year, he said it was "too early to give numbers". "The first response we received was that most of the students were returning," he said. In May-June, the ministry estimated the number of school graduates because the prison became around 5%.

The Minister also stressed that transparent masks that allow lambey reading will soon be distributed to teachers who teach disabled students or some kindergarten teachers. "This type of mask has been approved very recently," and "has a deadline for production," said Jean-Michel Blanquer, adding that 300,000 of these masks will work. "It's not systematic," he said.
