Surfer attacked by sharks in Australia

A 46 year old surfer was killed by a shark in Australia on Tuesday. The drama was caught on surveillance cameras.

The witness could not do anything to prevent this tragedy. On Tuesday, Nick Slater, a 46 year old surfer was attacked by a shark on Australia's Gold Coast. The play was described as an "absolute tragedy" which was recorded on CCTV cameras in the square. It shows another surfer trying to help the victim when he is trapped by an animal. They finally got Nick Slater out of the water. He was taken to the emergency room seriously injured, but he did not survive.

Rescuers arrived on site to express their gratitude to the Queensland Marine Rescue team, who were first to assist the surfers. Witnesses said they saw them securing the scene, while "floating people" were on the board, the "Brisbane Times" reported. "I ran, took off my plank to try to help him. There were probably three other people in the water trying to catch him," commented a launcher who was present at the time of the attack. "But practically he's been dead ever since. From groin to knee, nothing else," he said. The third fatal attack in Queensland waters since the start of the year. The other two attacks took place in April and July. Authorities announced the closure of a nearby beach here Wednesday. They are looking for sharks that have not been found so far.
